It took hours to download, but I have it now. Will try it today and see how it goes. Does anybody know of a discount code to get a reduction on the cost? Not regularly, but keep an eye on the Amazon Gold Box deals. It rolls through there regularly and is usually anywhere from $100 to $150 off. I paid $129 when I bought it. You can subscribe and have Amazon email you the gold box deal every day.

I have never heard of Gold Box deals. Maybe they don't call it that on .co.uk. I will put it in my wishlist though and keep an eye on the price. They seem to be pushing Office and internet security at the moment.

My book arrived yesterday Lightroom 2 book for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby so I have started to read it. Will import some photos into Lightroom and see how it goes. Looks great from the book.

I noticed that Lightroom is soon going to be Lightroom 3. Should I wait for it to be released before buying?

If I were you, I would download the beta for version 3, which is free, and when 3 is released buy it. I will upgrade as soon as 3 is out.

I had a look on the Adobe site and I can trial the Lightroom 3 until 30 June, so it looks like they are planning a release soon.

I've downloaded a trial version of LR3 today which now states that it is effectively the shipping version rather than beta which it was saying a couple of days ago. They are unlikely to have offers on it when it is only just released though.

They are unlikely to have offers on it when it is only just released though. I wouldn't be so sure about that. I bought mine for something like 60% off shortly after 2 was released. I would keep my eyes open on Twitter, good source for finding discounts. I will post up if I see anything.
