We see the world every day in many different colors, and life is very vibrant. But what if it wasn’t so? What if you could only see one color and all its shades? For this contest, you want to do just that!
Pick a color, and working with it and its shades only, create a photograph. The only thing you cannot use is black or white! Why? Because technically, they’re not colors!
What colors can you use, to simplify things? Here’s a list:
Red
Orange
Yellow
Blue
Green
Purple
Pink
And everything in between! But remember, just one, and its varying shades!
If you have any questions, or wish to discuss the entries, please feel free to post as much here!
ALSO! We are trying something new this time around! After some discussion, we’ve decided that we’re going to open the contest up to a member vote, instead of judging! So, from May 26-31, there will be a poll for you to vote in to determine the winner! We’ve decided to try this out, and see if it’s a better system.
Rules:
-The image must be created for this contest, and must be your own work.
-You may submit a single image only, or a triptych.
-Minor photomanipulation only. You may not destroy the integrity of the original photograph. Basically, if the person wasn’t actually standing there at the time of sunset, you may not photoshop them in.
-One entry per person.
-You must use only one color and varying shades of that color in the photograph.
-Once you’ve entered, you CANNOT edit your post for any reason! If you make a mistake, please PM an administrator to fix it for you. This way we can make sure no one cheats.
Deadline: May 25th 2010 at 11:59pm EST (that’s GMT -5. In California, or PST, it’d be 8:59pm, and in England it’d be 4:59am)
