This week's theme is: Life
This week the prompt is a concept. How can you use it in a photograph? When you hear this word, what comes to mind?
Some Ideas: -Budding Flowers -Babies -Activities
You don't have to use those ideas, those are simply to help any who may be struggling with this theme.
Please also feel free to ask any and all questions here, and discuss the entries. However, please do not quote the images.
THE WINNER Lauren MKS, not just by default. She had a wonderful vivid image of a flower's prime. Wonderful example of the beauty of life.

BAH! Took my trainer's horse to the vet today for a checkup, and saw THE CUTEST two day old buckskin colt... If only I'd had a camera and it was legal to take pictures of someone else's horse in the veterinary barn... I was dying to take a picture... *sigh*

UGH!!! I hate times like that. D: However, that's always a good time to drop a business card!

Don't know about where everyone else is living, but the life-giving pollen is about to kill us around here! Literally clouds of yellow. Thought I'd get a shot of of the the life-giving, yellow-giving flowers.

just to give you a little feedback on your photo, try to centre your subject instead of putting it off to one side like that

just to give you a little feedback on your photo, try to centre your subject instead of putting it off to one side like that I disagree. I like the offset composition with the out of focus element balancing out the frame. If it had been centered, I think it would have lost it's interest.

I like the offset composition with the out of focus element balancing out the frame. If it had been centered, I think it would have lost it's interest. If I had a macro lens, I would have centered it, but I could only get so close and I felt that having it to the side added some visual appeal. But hey, that's me (I was disappointed that the very top flower was out of focus, but I was at my parents house and couldn't redo the shot, so...alas...it is what it is.)

don't get me wrong, it's still a good picture but coming from someone who had to study balance and visual appeal in both photography and art class, i still think it would have been better centred and you don't actually need a macro lens as long as your using a DSLR it does it for you

coming from someone who had to study balance and visual appeal in both photography and art class, I won't hold that against you. :-) Seriously though, I don't put a lot of stock in that "rules" that are taught in photography classes. they are nothing but guidelines and I honestly feel that this image is better off for having the rules broken. This probably isn't the best place for this discussion though.
