Oh my goodness! That's quite the project.
I'm reminded of the Chevy Nova my ex-husband used to own. He swore he was going to restore it, but it sat in our driveway for 8 years, slowly rusting away. I got so fed up with it that I created "The Nova Watch", a website devoted to the non-progress of the restoration. I would detail the new rust spots, a bird nesting behind the bumper, or an ant crawling across the top.

Restoration has never been a plan for this cruiser. I would get a newer one if I wanted to do that, this one will always be an off road vehicle. The pictures look pretty bad, but most of what you are seeing is dirt, not rust. I had been using it pretty regularly up until able 3 years ago, when I started travelling a lot for work.
10 years of playing with it in the Arizona desert accumulates a lot of dirt. :-)

Marian... your husband is very lucky. My mother would have gotten rid of it by now!!! LOL
And yikes, I guess that it would accumulate a lot of dirt over that time period Scott! D:

We made it back on the road. There are still tons of things to do on her, there always will be, but we made a 180 mile round trip to Lake Roosevelt on Sunday. A couple snapshots at: myblueheaven.com/?p=591
