This week's theme is: Mardi Gras
This week the prompt is a cultural idea and holiday. How can you use it in a photograph? When you hear this phrase, what comes to mind?
Some Ideas: -Festivals in New Orleans -Green, Yellow, and Purple -Historical Origins
You don't have to use those ideas, those are simply to help any who may be struggling with this theme.
ALSO! I know in New Orleans (and possibly elsewhere) it is customary for women to flash men in order to get beads. Please, remember the guidelines and do not post any nude breasts! Thank you.
Please also feel free to ask any and all questions here, and discuss the entries. However, please do not quote the images.
THE WINNER Congratulations to Lauren! Both entries were creative in their own way, but the simplicity of Lauren's piece won over and broke the tie.

All I got are marbles and they're none of those colors... Is there anything else I could do for this particular theme?

My suggestion would be to Google Mardi Gras with safe search on. You don't have to use the ideas I put in there, they're just helpful hints.
But masks are popular, jesters can be associated with this holiday, and plenty of other things.

I have been to Mardi Gras 2 times back in the late 80's and early 90's. I wonder if I can find any images and scan them? Probably not as I have no idea what box they would be in.

Don't have much in the way of Mardi Gras - in fact, I've never been. Luckily, my kiddo's beads came in the right colors
