College+training+being sick= zero pictures... but hey, on the plus side, I got a 3rd & 4th in the show... not bad for only riding English 4 times in my life, right? Anyway... between all that I'm doing and with another show coming up on the 21st there are going to be zero pictures from me again for a while... so if I'm not here for a while I (hopefully) haven't died... I'll try to get back into the swing of things soon.

Congrats on the awards! I hope you feel better soon! And no worries, just stop in and chat with us so we don't think you've died and all will be well. Even if your not shooting, looking at other imagery is just as important to keep the creative spark alive and interested. C:

Okay so... Yesterday I went to the barn at 1:30 caught two crazy ponies, managed to get them into a trailer (which they had never done before), drove them to the new location, got them out of the trailer and into the pasture, and spent an hour trying to get them out of the corner of the pasture and go run around, then went back to the barn and fed all the horses before coming home. Today I got up at 8 a.m (after staying up until 1 a.m) to feed and water the horses... during which I managed to knock over the entire 14 foot column of hay, went to the fairgrounds at 9 a.m and walk around the entire horse race track in 4 inches of snow on top of 3 inches of mud, climbed the huge grandstands twice, went to a wedding expo with a friend who's getting married in the summer at 11 a.m and watched the "fashion show" and walked around the expo until 1:45, then went to the arena at 1:45 and untacked horses, rode Hershey at 3:00, fed horses at 4:00, dragged the arena at 5:00, set up a jump course at 6:00, drove into town for dinner at 7:30, back to the arena at 8:00, drove home and got here at 8:30, fed my horses again, started laundry, and washed the dishes... and tomorrow is another horse show that I'll be riding 3 classes in... so if I live through tomorrow, I promise I'll have some pictures of something... probably other riders in the show. Lets keep our fingers crossed, shall we?

So... this time... I blame my computer... and rightfully so. It downright REFUSES to connect to my camera. It doesn't have an SD card slot, so I have to go through the USB, and of course... my computer evidently thinks connecting to cameras through SD cards is witch craft or something because it just won't. My dad has a camera with a USB (and his own cable) as well, and I've tried every combination of the four that I possibly can... but no such luck.
This, of course, means that I can't upload any photos unless I connect my camera to the desktop computer, connect my external hard drive to the computer, upload the photos to the external hard drive, disconnect the lovely web of cords from power sockets and USB ports, move it all back to my room, reconnect the external hard drive to the power socket (oh so conveniently located RIGHT behind my bed -.- (whoever designed this room didn't think too clearly when they made the only space a bed would fit right in front of the only power plug) which happens to have barely a foot of space between it and the floor (I'm little, but not THAT little) which means I have to squeeze under and try to reach the socket with my short arms... then connect that to my laptop and import them to my editing program... edit them, and FINALLY upload them to the internet... so... if it takes me a while to get pictures up (and yes, I finally have some from Spring Break)... you know why.
My computer and I have a love hate relationship (I named it Alfred for the soul purpose of having a name to curse and plead with so people think I'm talking to a person instead of a machine and I don't look quite as crazy as I'm sure I already do)... one of these days I will get a new one... hopefully.
