Favorite movies in 2009?

I was just talking to a friend of mine about the best movies that we saw in 2009 and I was curious to see what you guys liked. Why did you like those movies?

The Hangover

By far my favorite comedy all year. I can relate to alot of the movie in the sense that my friends and I sometimes wake up after a party and wonder what the hell happened. Ever since we saw this I told my friend when he gets married (probably within the next year or two if I was to bet on it) we're going to Vegas

Inglorious Basterds

I love me some Quentin Tarantino! This movie was just epic across the board. Nice mix of comedy, action, drama, and just plain weird/fucked up stuff lol. Very nice acting as well.

I'm going to go ahead and say this was one of the top 2 for me this year and at least in the top 5 of all time favorites for me. The whole experience was amazing. The story, the visuals and the 3D all made this movie amazing. I'm still planning on seeing it again.

Transformers 2

This one is a no brainer haha I'm a Transformers nut and this was a must see for me (3 times...I saw the first one 7 times in theaters lol) I liked the first one better, but I think this one was still pretty awesome...my car did very well in it hahaha

Zombieland

By far my favorite Zombie movie of all time! Nice comedy all around and funny storyline. My favorite part was the rules. My friends and I quote them all the time.

Movies that I saw that were good, but not really super flippin sweet: Sherlock Holmes, The Blind Side, Star Trek, Boondock Saints 2 (kind of disappointed in this one being a huge fan of the first)

I didn't see many movies (aka I only saw Ninja Assassin) this year because nothing interesting came out until the end of December when I was broke and busy. Wouldn't have seen Ninja Assassin, except my boyfriend's mom paid and we went with his brother. It SUCKED as far as plot goes. If you were just looking for a lot of blood and action, then it was fine. But I knew the ending about 15min in so... :-\

Totally wanted to see Sherlock Holmes, but haven't yet. I've been hearing wonderful things about Avatar, but since it's so long I'll wait for it to come out on DVD. I can't see the 3D anyways.

More so though, I'm looking forward to this year's movies. Specifically, Alice in Wonderland. My mom, sister, bf, and I plan on being there opening night if at all possible. ;D

I loved the Blind Side. I thought the story was very touching.
As for Sherlock Holmes...eh...it was ok. I was a little confused in the beginning and the movie, overall, didn't progress very quickly.
District 9...what the f#&%...and that's all I have to say about that.

I really want to see Avatar.

"The Unborn" is a must-see, in my opinion. It's kind of predictable and then not and the plot may be weird but the acting was great.

I watched some weird horror movies, such as "Offspring" but I also got to see the second Transformers movie as well as "Resident Evil: Resurrection", although I think that one's 2008.

I want to see "Youth In Revolt", "Daybreakers", and "Legion". I hope I get to watch Daybreakers this Friday because I want to make a RPG on it. ^.^

A movie I heard was good was Paranormal Activity... didn't get to see it though. My sister was scared out of her wits by it though, and I laughed!

I think Legion is on my list to see as well, Sidney.

I want to see Paranormal Activity, too! I'm crazy about that kind of stuff. I even have a ghost-hunting team, but unfortunately it's just me. -.-

Yeah, I just want to see if it's actually scary. I'm so desensitized to those sorts of movies that I tend to laugh instead of scream.

I didn't see Paranormal Activity, but I saw 4th Kind...It was ok, but I think most of it was BS.
