It’s the beginning of 2010, for those of us who don’t care about the specifics, it’s the beginning of a new decade, and for many of us we’re hoping it’s the beginning of better times since a general conclusion of 2009 is that it wasn’t all that great. In honour of all these beginnings, we are going to show that in photos.
For this contest, you need to show something beginning. How would you express this idea in a photograph? Be creative! Use a conceptual concept. Maybe you can find a newborn to photograph. Whatever you can think of, show us the beginning of something.
Rules:
-The image must be created for this contest, and must be your own work.
-You may submit a single image, or three images combined into a triptych. Note: You will not score higher for submitting a triptych if it is not done well.
-Minor photomanipulation allowed. This means that you may touch the image, but you may not combine more than one image, or destroy the photographic element (ie: use brushes to make it a graphics piece). It must retain its integrity as a single photograph, or photographs if you’re doing a triptych.
-If you submit a triptych, they must be combined into one image with borders between them, so that you only submit one image technically.
-One entry per person.
-Once you’ve entered, you CANNOT edit your post for any reason! If you make a mistake, please PM an administrator to fix it for you. This way we can make sure no one cheats.
Deadline: January 31st 2010 at 11:59pm EST (that’s GMT -5. In California, or PST, it’d be 8:59pm, and in England it’d be 4:59am)

No worries, you still have about three weeks to come up with something and photograph it. I'm sure you'll be able to think of something in that time! C:
