Rules:
-The image must be created for this contest, and must be your own work.
-You may submit a single image, or three images combined into a triptych. Note: You will not score higher for submitting a triptych if it is not done well.
-Minor photomanipulation allowed. This means that you may touch the image, but you may not combine more than one image, or destroy the photographic element (ie: use brushes to make it a graphics piece). It must retain its integrity as a single photograph, or photographs if you’re doing a triptych.
-If you submit a triptych, they must be combined into one image with borders between them, so that you only submit one image technically.
-One entry per person.
-Once you’ve entered, you CANNOT edit your post for any reason! If you make a mistake, please PM an administrator to fix it for you. This way we can make sure no one cheats.
Deadline: January 31st 2010 at 11:59pm EST (that’s GMT -5. In California, or PST, it’d be 8:59pm, and in England it’d be 4:59am)
Judging Criteria:
-Creativite Choice 25pts
How creative you were in deciding on a beginning, and choosing what image(s) would best portray it.
-Technical Skill 10pts
How well lit and focused the shots are
-Composition 15pts
How well your composition is throughout the image(s)
-Use of colour/b+w/ect 25pts
How well you used the colour or lack-there-or in your shots
You can earn a total of 75 points.
The Prize:
As of right now, it's very simple. Your work gets displayed on the front page of this forum until the end of another contest, and it will be noted in your member info. You will also receive a special ticket with a number on it that allows you to post a thread in the Critique section without first making a comment. This ticket can only be used once, however.
I [Saknika] am the only judge, and will post how everyone scored with a reason as to why for every entry. Because I am the only judge, all other staff members are eligible to enter this contest.
