So what sparked your interest in photography? Where did it all begin?
Personally, I've always enjoyed taking photos, and looking at pretty things. I've been trying to make my siblings pose for me for the camera since I was 10 years old. I never really started into the more professional side of it until my junior year of high school though, when I needed another art class and photography sounded like the easiest option. It was a lot more interesting and fun then I'd thought it would be, and everyone decided I had the most talent. I was pushed towards the Hallmark Institute of Photography for college, and since then I've learned how to take a good photo, and it goes well with the passion I've had for it for years now.

I carried a point and shoot with me for years. After finding a lot of the same images I started taking less while finding more interesting perspectives. I took a B&W Photography class my senior year of high school and shortly into the year I got my first DSLR.

It was dA hands down. Specifically Hougaard. I took some classes, got a DSLR and I was hooked. I don't go out as much as I would like to to take pictures, but I'm hoping to do some more in the near future.

I honestly don't know. I just sort of started taking photos and had this desire to get better, to increase my range of topics, learn new techniques, etc. It mostly started around high school when I was, for a while, on the photographer team for the newspaper, and started to see the photos I took on the front page of the paper that reached about ten thousand people. I started really getting into it, I think it was that moment that said, 'Well at least people are going to see your work so you might as well get on it.' =P

I picked up my grandmother's camera and she showed me some little things and I was just naturally good at "seeing" the photos in things. I didn't get a camera till a year or two ago. I think since then I've just tried to get better and better. But because of this I have a little bit bigger love: video. I run the video camera at my church on Wednesday nights. To this I have issues and it's there that I see I love photography. When I get my shot ready to go on screen, I use photography rules ((because we all know video is just a series of pictures)) and thus have much better shots than the people who just throw things on screen. I always think: Would this make a good photo? And I'll change it if it's not.
