Back in Hallmark, one of the things John Nordell talked to us about was our image diet. What we were looking at, imagery wise, on a day-to-day basis.
And I didn't pay too much attention to it, because hey, I'm unique. Ya know? More like I was afraid of TOTALLY RIPPING SOMEONE OFF. xDDD
But my sister said something at a photo shoot one day that made me stop and look back at what John said.
When I was posing someone, she told me he looked like he popped right out of a manga. Like one of the bishie boys we all love so much.
And you know what?
She was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.
It's so funny, because I read a BUTTLOAD of manga the day before, and now that I look back at the photos, A LOT of them resemble manga-esque poses. But it's not a rip off, which makes me feel MUCH BETTER. I really was/always am worried about that.
So John Nordell, here's to you. Understanding my image diet is one of the best things I know!
And it's something everyone should know! So what about everyone else? What influences your photography, and do you notice how it does? What sort of imagery do you look at every day that has an influence on how your creativity may come forth?

You're just a cloud whore. xD No, clouds are my unresponsive & stubborn bitches. I found where they run to - Maine. Everywhere! Everyday! All day! Except. I don't want them this Saturday night, that's when my star photography will hopefully take place; weather permitting...

Cold weather (ie, the night air) usually dissipates the clouds, but it has been raining a lot here so good luck. And astral photography is not easy, so double good luck!
But, an image diet is things like DA and Magazines. <3

I really don't know. 0.o I play a lot of MMOs and watch anime, though when I take pictures of people, they don't come out with blue hair or huge eyes. >.> But really I don't think I've noticed it in my work yet. Maybe I don't take enough pictures of people to find anything like that, but maybe it's in the colour choice of some of my works...? I've always liked taking photos with vibrant colours, doesn't matter if they're macros or sunsets or what have you.

The colour choice can be a definite indication.
