This week's theme is: Playing Cards
This week the prompt is an object. How can you incorporate it into a photograph as an aesthetic addition or subject?
Some Ideas: -Card House -Shuffling -Poker Game
You don't have to use those ideas, those are simply to help any who may be struggling with this theme.
Please also feel free to ask any and all questions here, and discuss the entries. However, please do not quote the images.
THE WINNER Enigmarose blew all of us away with a very meticulous design of cards made to look something like a quilt. It was incredibly creative, well-thought out, and well executed. Congratulations Enigma!

Unresized: i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/dragonteenager/playingcards.jpgI thought to challenge myself and to find a subject to work with I should try this. So Marlee and I went outside and I started to take pictures of him playing cards. This is the best one out of the group. I personly like it, maybe its because I like the gray and Marlee has some cool looking cards. This was a hard theme to work with without going over board or looking boring. So it was really fun to do.

The colours definitely do stand out against the gray.

Nice photo, simplified and abstract. I think the cards are great but I would have liked to have seen more of the cards than the marble... Good job though. Spent some time thinking about what I should do and tried lots of action shots of cards flying around the room. I made a real mess and still didn't have a photo so you get a static picture, (not the idea I wanted to show) but the best hand in poker. A Royal Flush ptyrrell.daportfolio.com/gallery/130500#6

Nice Papsta. The red against the blue works well.

Thank you very much ..... I am lucky in a way because my girlfriends son is very keen on playing cards and magic tricks using them, so he had a few packs I could choose from ;D. I think I have used what I have learned from the colour theory correctly or as near as damn it lol . I am not sure how long it took to put together but I was wary of our cat that had it's eye on them . The other element that I struggled with was the lighting from the ceiling; I had to improvise and use punch pockets to cover them and try to diffuse the light shining from the cards, this was not enough so I put some tissues on top of the pockets for the light to hit the tissues first . Just wish I had had more time but at least I got something together and gave it a shot and had fun doing it as well ;D.

Nothing says you can't go back and try again just for yourself, as well. A lot of times once you see it on the computer screen, you notice mistakes and go back and reshoot. I actually have a photo that I will be doing for the third time soon enough, just to get the results that I want.
