Those look awesome. What settings did you use? I try to shoot fireworks pretty much the same way that I shoot lightning. Camera in Manual mode and manual focus. Focus set to infinity with camera on a tripod with remote shutter release. Aperture set to somewhere around f5.6 (but may alter it based on results) and shutter set to bulb. I also keep my ISO at 100. Lens depends on where I am setup. My Casino Del Sol shots were taken with my Sigma 10-20 and the A Mountain ones were taken with my Nikon 18-200. Everything else is pretty much by "feel" when it comes to how long I keep the shutter open on each shot. The other thing about doing it this way is that I am not watching the display though a viewfinder, I can actually enjoy the show while shooting it. :-)

That sounds A LOT easier then how I've been doing it. xD All I'm missing is that remote shutter release. *adds to list of photo goodies to get*

I had problems because of how far away I was from them. ;^; My family didn't go close cause we had the dog and baby, who get scared by the noise. Hopefully next year I can be closer and get better images. I have some but they're all blurry because I had to zoom in and hold the camera myself... Thus the blurry streaks in the photos.

Being close is not a big deal. In my Casino Del Sol ones I was VERY close, but the A Mountain ones were from atleast 1.5 to 2 miles away. A good tripod is a must though.

I figured because I don't have a tripod, being closer and not having to zoom in to see the fireworks would make them less blurry. midnightmysterymeow.deviantart.com/art/Fireworks-129981241 This is the least blurry of the shots from the 4th.

Even a cheap BestBuy tripod will make your images 1000% better than handheld. You will be amazed at the difference.
