I have been watching some camera auctions on a site torturing myself wishing I had the cash to get them. The cameras I have been looking at are the: - Sony Alpha A380Y DSLRWorth up to: £879.95 Placed bids (1844): £922.00 ( If you don't win the item, you lose the money you have bid this is all auctions.) Auction price: £137.58 ~ this is what the winning bid was. The bids were 2p stirling at a time, the bidding can go on for hours and is open to all. The seller took £922.00 using this method; but the winner got an absolute bargain. The other camera was the Nikon D90 12.3 MP DSLR Camera with 18-105mm KitWorth up to: £743.79 Placed bids (320): £160.00 Auction price: £58.18 ~ this is what the winning bid was. I realy like the Sony Alpha A380Y DSLR mainly because the screen can pop-out and placed at an angle so you don't have to get into those awkward positions to often lol. I can but dream

I think you would have to have plenty of spare cash to be able to enter an auction. If you had the cash to purchase the item outright you can, or gamble; is the way I see it; and make a saving in the process.
It does not seem fair to lose all of the money you have bid but I guess that's how the seller/s can let the items go so cheaply and the winner gets an absolute bargain in the process.

It must be, but it still doesn't seem right.
