Congratulations to all our showcase winners this month!
I’m very pleased to say that we had a lot of entries to most of the weekly themes, and as such Ithili and Papsta each won spaces and had their work displayed. Papsta was able to take home to gold three times in a row! I can’t wait to see what other fantastic entries you guys come up with for September, there are already some now! Let’s make these things bigger and better, and with even more competition.
This month Accebera with her rabbit photo has taken the Photo of the Month slot in the showcase for August. Such a fantastic capture of a wild yet gentle animal was enough to win over the staff, and so the honour of having the photo of the month was given to her. Congratulations on a job well done! It wasn’t easy coming up with the selection, since there were so many good ones this month. We are very excited to see what is submitted for next month!
In the community practice section, I’m pleased to say that Enigmarose showed a lot of improvement, and as such he has also won the honour of a place in our showcase for the month of August. While his original image was a little rough around the edges, his second one showed a lot of improvement and really brought out the true essence of texture as a photographic element in his photography. Congratulations on the selection, and congratulations on becoming an even stronger photographer!
We also have our very first contest winner this time around! It seems that you guys really enjoyed the landscape theme, and I hope you enjoy the new one as well. It’s a bit of a different path then many of you are probably used to, but I think you can do great things with it.
Without further blabbering though, I’d like to offer a big congratulations to ~Hero~ for being the very first contest winner here on Phototique! While his image is definitely not my favourite of the group, based on the criteria I set down for judging it came out on top. I know that many of you here did love his photo of the ship though, and as such I’m sure you will agree with the selection. To see how all the photos held up, don’t hesitate to head on over to the contest section and see the scoring. It was a close one guys!
So congratulations to all our showcase artists, and good luck to all who become contenders for future spots!
