Don't want to feel like I'm imposing as I've been on here just a day, but maybe a little chat feature, where people could talk, instant messanging. Only an idea but...

I've seen them on other forums before, and I've been on forums with them before. They tend to just promote drama, and since I can't be on to moderate it 24/7 (can't get multiple access to its admin panel) to make sure the TOS isn't broken, I don't think it'd be a good idea.

A chat feature is practical, but on a forum where more than one user may access the full admin panels. And on a board sucha s ProBoards you are fairly limited to what you can do; not saying this isn't possible. I frequent a forum where there is a built in site-wide IRC on the side of the web site and the web master has a bot account monitoring the channel. When a word is mentioned [more than a certain number of times], the admins and global mods are alerted on IM.
They also have access to the site-wide IRC on third party software (unlike users like me) and moderate the chat that way. But this is using a heavily modified version of phpBB.

ProBoards doesn't have an IRC feature. You need to use a 3rd party host, and it's a big pain in the butt.

Personally, I'd never put a chatbox on a forum. Like you said Saknika, all they do is cause drama from what I've witnessed. Plus they take away discussion from the boards as well. There's always PMs or several instant messaging programs one can use such as MSN, AIM, Yahoo, etc. Just my two cents worth...
