Nikon Releases first Projector Camera

Nikon has unveiled the world's first compact camera with an in-built projector. The S1000pj projects images up to 40 inches in size with a VGA resolution and a maximum distance of 2 meters. The camera is supplied with a remote control and stand for ease of use. It features an optically stabilized wide angle 5x zoom lens (28-140mm equiv.), 2.7 inch LCD and a 12.1MP sensor.

I'm impressed! I can't wait to see what the other companies come out with to match this. We'll be seeing a lot nicer additions to the camera family once they all start latching on to things like this.

Well, Zink printers are going to be in Cameras in a few years. These printers use heat to print and can easily fit in phones, cameras and computers. The downside is that the sun can overwrite your print But they're working on a way to stop that.

I wouldn't by this Nikon camera. Honestly. It's got a ugly front and not well designed. I'd like the idea if a projector popped up in front of the censor within the camera so the same lens used to capture the image will also project the image. I'm quite sure it's possible.
