So yesterday I left my laptop alone for 15min to make lunch, and System32 corrupted itself and killed my laptop. Thankfully, I have good friends who cured it, AND saved all my files. Unfortunately, the programs I had install are, for the most part, gone. So, while I have all my files and stuff, my programs are gone and the laptop is basically back to factory settings. It's like it's half-broken. Meaning I can't do shit on this thing anymore really, except use a few messengers, get my email, and surf the internet. It sucks, a lot. I wanted to nurse this poor laptop along for one more year before investing in a new one, but so much for that. xP Looks like I'm going laptop shopping earlier than expected. ...It's so weird to think that I'll no longer have Windows XP. Wow...

The key is to have only one folder where you keep your files and incase of a system crash just reinstall..that's what I do.
