Because this is a place to get feedback on your images, and for everyone to learn from each thread in here, there are a few things you need to follow in order to keep things fair. Some things will be reiterated from the guidelines, please bear with us.
This list is subject to change as new things arise and precedents are set. So please check back if it has been updated.
- All images posted here should be altered in a way that effects the main subject or subjects significantly, or that changes the image drastically.
- NO STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY IS ALLOWED, all images in the manipulations must be your own photography!
- Brushes, textures, and things of this nature are fine because they are not photographs.
- Please make sure they are constructive criticism. Give a reason for your opinion, and under no circumstances tell anyone that "it sucks" or "it's beautiful" as your full critique.
- You don't have to be extremely technical in a critique. Some of you are still learning. Saying "I think that this is really pretty because I enjoy how poppy the colours are, but it looks lopsided" is fine. You don't have to talk specifically about photographic techniques and elements.
- NO NUDITY. Proboards doesn't allow it, so we can't either.
- If it contains mature content, please put [18+] in the title! Some people don't want to see it. Other labels that could be included with the 18+ are: G (gore), H (horror). If you think of another, let me know and I'll add it to the list.
- No more than one photo per thread! If you have more from the same edit, you may use a contact sheet to see the rest or use links, but please only choose your favourite to share for feedback. Critiquing can take a lot of time, and this will help keep all threads manageable.
- Conversion to B+W, Sepia, or other such tones is not considered photomanipulation and should be placed in the Critique board.
- Please make sure if you're posting an image instead of a link to an image, that it doesn't stretch the page.
- The maximum size images should be on any side is 600px.
