Another month has passed, and we have a new Showcase up! Congratulations to everyone who was featured for the Weekly Themes over the course of the month, and congratulations to our features!
Unfortunately, there is no Community Practice image. However, I remembered once that Marian had mentions making the blank space more like an advert to get entries, and since I really hated that blank space I took her up on the idea. So it's not blank, and the photo is something I did that could be sized down and have space for copy. If you think you have an image like this as well that you wouldn't mind used in the same manner, feel free to send it in and I will add it. And then we will have a selection to use and rotate.
I'm sure you also remember that the last month where we didn't have a Community Practice to feature, it defaulted to my image (to avoid that blank space as well). Well, I did not want myself up there twice, and since my staff team chose my image for the Photo of the Month, I couldn't do both.
So there's the little story behind that section, but I think it came out for the best. And thank you greatly to my staff for selecting my photograph! It doesn't happen often, and I appreciate it a lot.
A big congratulations to Lauren MKS as well for winning the contest! It was a close, close contest, and I was very worried when I initially looked over all the entries that it would end up a tie. It almost did. You guys are fantastically creative photographers, and I can't wait to see what you all come up with next!
