What would you guys like to see as community practices? I will try to list all ideas here so that there aren't any duplicates. Please check the list before posting an idea!

Sunsets and sunrises, maybe. A lot of people want to take beautiful sunset/sunrise shots, but not many know how.
Circles - You already did a square prompt. Circles might be fun. =]
Self-portraits. Something really creative, not just the usual mirror or one-handed shots.
Eyes. I like eyes. They're fascinating and colorful.
Framing - Using trees or other objects as a natural picture frame.
Water - Falling, flowing, still, or drinking.
Pets? That's always fun.

I actually did have Sunsets and Sunrises on my own little list for CPs. Water is good too, as are pets, framing, and self portraits. I think eyes and circles will fall under the weekly theme better though.

Animals are always good, but you never know when they might strike a funny face or even a good pose. I once took a picture of a sheep sticking his tongue out, as if he was saying "wassup"? lol
Children are also fun, even though they can be evil sometimes.
Landscapes are a good way to practice when you first start out.
I don't understand what framing is?

Framing is using the shape of one object (such as a drooping tree branch) to "frame" the main subject of your photograph (say, a sunset or a couple sitting on a park bench). Here's an example: (not my photo) The focal point of the photograph is the mountain, but the shape of the trees around it sets it off and adds a new interest to the photo. Hope that helped. =]

ve been at digital photography myself since the summer of 2008, but I have much to learn even now. I myself just purchased an Olympus e-420 and I'm loving it, although seems like with it I've done worse than I was doing with the point-and-shoot! I cannot wait to see your own work, you've had six years' experience so that would be something good!

Now, for the VERY FINAL SURPRISE, welcome Marian Murdoch to our staff team! I contacted her probably well over a month ago, asking if she wouldn’t join the staff team here on Phototique, and after what must have been some long deliberation, she has decided to take me up on the offer. Actually, she decided before the end of March, but I chose to wait until the beginning of April to release this information and welcome her to the team. So say hello to your newest moderator! She’ll be helping you out with you digital creations, and working with us in Critique as well. Marian has a lot of knowledge that she’s willing to share, if you’re just willing to listen. So ears open and pencils out! It’s fun time!

I arrived a little late because of work and the shoot was going full steam when I got there. It was very laid back with people going back and forth with lighting and other equipment. People here and there would move cars into different positions. I got in on the action as well. This went on for a few hours until the sunset came…that’s where the fun began. It had been raining most of the day and the sky was beyond amazing with the clouds. At this point it was only myself and my buddy. Everyone else went to the shop to pick up and drop off cars. So we had a sunset that was fading, only 2 people, and 5 different cars to move around at this point….I have never run around so much while I was doing photography!!! With my D300s, a huge light or driving cars around it became very exhausting.

Word of mouth is great for getting new members, more activity, and keeping the fun alive for everyone here on Phototique. As such, we need you, the members, to tell everyone you know about this place! And now, we're going to offer you some great incentive!
It's expensive to get things at the Points Store, and there aren't that many ways to earn points. That's about to change though!
