This is where you post any discussion or questions. Please place all entries in this thread
For this contest, we’re going to do something a little different. Rather than going with a theme and then working from there, I am going to give you a few lists of objects and ideas. You must pick one or two from each list, and create a photograph from them. You must have at least one from two of the lists! Preferably, one from each, but that might prove to be a bit too challenging depending on what items each of us own.
All total though, you need to use a minimum of three choices, and no more than six! Meaning if you’re only picking from two lists, then you need one choice from one list, and two choices from another.
Hopefully, you’ll find this to be a fun challenge to work with. And, because of how this contest is going to be done, photomanipulations will be allowed! Thus, there is a different twist to this contest entirely.
Here are your lists:
You can choose to do one of two things for this. You can either submit all three to six selections in one photograph, or, you may arrange separate photographs as a triptych. Remember though, that if you do the triptych it should flow together nicely and create a story of sorts.
Please ignore whether or not a word is plural in the lists. If you want to use two pillows, even though list three only says pillow, then by all means use two pillows. You won’t be called on such a tiny technicality.
Rules:
-The image must be created for this contest, and must be your own work.
-You may submit a single image, or three images combined into a triptych. Note: You will not score higher for submitting a triptych if it is not done well.
-Photomanipulation is allowed with the use of photographs only. You may not use brushes, textures, or stocks (ect…) to create designs on it.
-If you submit a triptych, they must be combined into one image with borders between them, so that you only submit one image technically. If you need help with combining the images, contact me.
-One entry per person.
-Once you’ve entered, you CANNOT edit your post for any reason! If you make a mistake, please PM an administrator to fix it for you. This way we can make sure no one cheats.
Deadline: February 28th 2010 at 11:59pm EST (that’s GMT -5. In California, or PST, it’d be 8:59pm, and in England it’d be 4:59am)
