So we all live in many different places, and with the Christmas season upon us I'm curious to know how many of us are expecting, or possibly already have, snow.
Personally, we'll have it soon, and I don't want it. It's cold and wet and I don't like it that much. It's only good for two things, and one of them no longer applies to me anymore: Snowdays and Photography.

Yes! LOL! I agree! I grew up in Montana where there's lots of snow, which is why I live more south on the coast now. At best, we might get a sciff of snow that melts away by noon. In fact, our town doesn't even own any snow plows. Last year we got dumped on with about a foot, and it stayed for almost a month. So, it will be interesting to see what happens this year. As you said tho, great for photos!

We had snow in October, and somehow, it was 63 degrees out today... oh, global warming. xD Living in Maine is good for snow, usually, but we're supposed to have a tame winter -_- I really want to try some experimentation with shots of ice, sometimes it forms around the blades of grass or around gravel in the driveways here.

That sounds like something very interesting to experiment with. I wish you the best of luck, because I doubt I'd be the kind of person to get that close to the wet ground when it's cold out. xD

Thanks xD I had taken some shots of the ice over the trees last year- you could see bubbles of oxygen or water moving around between the ice and the tree- but they didn't come out too well, so I'll have to try again.

It doesn't snow in Phoenix, at all as far as I know. I know it snows like 2 hours north of here though, but that's because that town's higher up in the mountains.
It did surprisingly snow in Houston yesterday though, it definitely wasn't much and it only stuck for a few hours, but snow in Houston is VERYVERYVERYVERY rare. (Moved to Arizona from there for College).

It doesn't snow around here, not in the valleys. We've had a tiny bit maybe three times in the past twenty years. I wish we got it more, though. As long as I didn't have to do any driving. xD;

It rarely snows in North Carolina now, and I blame it on global warming. When it does snow, we never have enough for a snowman The last time we could make one was about five years ago.

I don't think NC is supposed to get snow though, is it? I know they don't get it in VA much...

Actually, VA has plenty of snow and we are close to the border, too. We used to have a lot of snow, but I would probably set up a studio in either Maine or Colorado just to have snow. XD
