I'm sure everyone has heard about this whole 2012 theory that the world is going to end. If you haven't do a little Google searching it's everywhere.
Do you buy into it? Why is your opinion the way it is?
For me I don't really buy into the predictions or the fact that the Mayan calendar just ends...Everyone thought Y2K was going to be the end of the world and we're all still here aren't we? lol

...I haven't heard of it. But I think it's ridiculous. The world will end when it ends, and there's nothing we can do about it, so we might as well stop fretting.

On and Off. I love learning as much as I can about it. But as much as I may be lead to believe it's going to happen I can't imagine it will. My astronomy teacher says nothing special will happen as the sun rises with the center of the milky way.
I've learned to say that our calendar ends every year but that doesn't mean the world will end. In fact, we create a new calendar for every year. But it's not what's keeping the world from ending. If the Mayans were around today I would bet they'd have remade their calendar by now. The ancient people probably found no desire to create a new calender when their ended so may centuries in the future.
And that's what I have been saying for sometime now.

It's an interesting theory, but I don't put much stock into it. Unless we really upset Korea, and then they may just nuke the whole world. Buuut... I don't see that as a likely thing to happen.
If it does end though, not like anyone is going to be around to care. xD

Honestly I think the Mayans just got fed up making calendars for days they wouldn't even be around to see, and decided to get out and watch a movie or something. Let the kids finish making the bloody calendars. But of course they forgot, and now everyone is panicking that the world is going to end. Even the present-day Mayans are annoyed with the theories. Hollywood isn't helping the matter, either.

Haha that's what I told my friends....why would they go on forever? They could have stopped anywhere!

I don't believe in it, though most of my friends do, hah. I didn't even know there was a theory until about March of this year, when I looked on my friend Courtney's mirror and saw the date in December (can't remember what day) in 2012 and asked what it was. If it does end, well, that sucks, but I highly doubt it will. And if it is going to end, I'd rather not know about it and just keep living my life like I am now. :]

I personally don't buy into it but if everyone turns into vampires all of a sudden, then dibs on being the first vampire! XD
I think there might be big changes but the world's not going to end. It's been around billions of years, why end in 2012? Why not NOW?
