ArticlePersonally, I think it came a little too late. Anyone around those in the health care profession, or in the profession, knew long before this that there wouldn't be enough flu vaccines. My Dad's been talking about it for a while now, he's part of the local ambulance core. While it is just another strain of the flu, it's super highly contagious and dangerous to adolescents. I know our local school is thinking of shutting down for a while, and it's not the first one in the area.

I mean I might not know everything about it, but I do know that there are thousands more people that are dying from the regular flu not to mention just being infected by it. I have friends including a very close one that had H1N1 and they're all fine.

Yup. I had it, I'm fine, same with my whole family and bf. And I know others who are the same. But it is more contagious than the normal flu, which is more the problem of the whole thing in my eyes. So I can understand why hospitals are trying to stop the spread, and why schools are shutting down. But it's totally over-hyped by the media.

I haven't had it. Yet. xD
I agree that it's all over-hyped by the media. But I certainly won't be complaining if my school is shut down for a week. =]

I think one of my closest friends and I are immune to it.
But it's sad that children are dying from the H1N1. If anything they should treat the little ones first, since they are weaker and more vulnerable.
