I met a really cool guy a few weeks ago that has a huge passion for photography especially with cars. He majored in Industrial Design and minored in Photography. He's got great equipment and he can edit in Photoshop very well. All I did was supply the car, this is his work not mine. I would really like to hear your comments on his work. He wants to know what people think. Here is his Flickr account if you like his work.

I like them, I do. But the most powerful one is the first image. Love the colours in the sky. Though I'd love to see a combination of the second and fourth; your car turning but at the same vantage point as the fourth. Why? The ground has curves, which gives a sense of strength but the car lacks definition which I find in the fourth image.

He's got good work. Has he been hired out by anyone, or is he a freelance photographer? And what did you think of his manner? Was it professional, or was he more laid back? He did a wonderful job with your car, definitely his niche in photography. If he'd like specific feedback though, he should come join our forum.

He does graphic design for a company but as far as photography goes he's just freelance currently. He does get alot of calls though. After one person saw the first image I posted he wanted my friend to shoot his Viper in a similar shot.
He's very laid back and friendly. The entire time he was shooting we just chatted about everything under the sun. He actually let me use some the the equipment and gave me pointers here and there. 100% great guy.

They look great ~ but missing some motion blur on the car itself ~ only needs to be subtle, on the lights - door mirrors and mabye the reflections on the car it looks to set up without them.

The point of this style is for the car to not have any blur on it. The camera is literally mounted on the car so everything in the background and the wheels are blurred and the car is in focus. He didn't just take a picture of the car and blur the background in photoshop. Here are other rig shots.

So he doesn't pan then? Kinda takes some of the fun out of the shot, and definitely specific skills.

He pans on non rig shots like the most recent set on his Flickr account from a drift event. You can't achieve the exact effect that he achieves with normal panning. LinkI don't see how as soon as you learn the camera was attached to the car it's magically not as good.

Nah, it's still good. I mean the fun of actually photographing the car. LOL But I'm glad he knows how to pan as well.
