Are you a Lightroom user? If do, what version do you have and do you enjoy it? I have had Lightroom since it came out, and I absolutely adore it. Sadly, I'm still stuck with version 1.4 because I haven't been able to afford the upgrade yet. But you better believe as soon as I can afford it, I will have it!

I don't have it, though I have heard plenty about it. Mostly on dA actually. I'm thinking about checking it out a bit more, I don't want to invest in it just to test it out. What are its functions? And does it work on Macs? xD

Lightroom works on Macs and PCs, and it's awesome because you don't have to buy a seperate disc to make it do so.
Lightroom functions as a program that easily allows you to sort and rate photographs, and use digital copies to make edits without harming the actual photo. It also integrates directly to photoshop to allow for finer editing, and when you export the images it will automatically put on the copyright if you so choose. It also has great printing and webdesign features, and comes with simple viewer. It's not as high tech as photoshop in a way, but it makes the selection and basic editing process so much easier.

It's only 34MB's. Be a waste to make seperate CD's - they didn't even use a DVD! I have 2.0 and have not been able to upgrade due to lack of funds S.s
& OMG! I love this piece of smex. Powerful software that can create virtual copies (VC) of an image on your machine and save different states/edits of the photograph. I would like a feature that would allow VC to be compiled into a group and viewed via the snapshots pane in Develop.
I'd also like saved history in PSD's to appear as snapshots so I can save versions of my files with and without certain elements so I wouldn't have to open PhotoShop and save a 300+MB file just to hide a short line of text or something. Even a unique "Layers" pane instead of "snapshops" when viewing PSD's would suffice! Though, keeping snapshots would rock hardcore because layers can go into the dozens for me - I've got groups, filter layers, smart objects (with filters linked to the layer as well as layers within the smart object: If you've never worked with smart objects, learn so. Life savers.;Almost like the layer masks of filters.)

I can't live without Lightroom. It handles about 75% of my workflow, the other 25% is still in Photoshop. They works perfectly together.

So basically Light Room is Bridge with actual editing capabilities? Correct. And it handles everything related to photography, unlike Bridge that recognizes Word Files, among others.

No problem, that is what this forum is here for. Lightroom is fairly new still, so it's not surprising that there are some photographers who haven't heard of it yet.
