Anyone here use them? Or know how to effectively use them?
It's not something I've worked with before, and trying to figure it out on my own is not easy. >_<;

Even with that, it's not easy. I ran one campaign with some good keywords, but no clicks. Meaning that either the length wasn't long enough, or something. So there has to be a trick to the balance, or selecting the right keywords.

Keyword the hell out of your things. I have deviations on deviantART with literally fifty or more keywords. I often don't have the time to do this but I'll do it on works I believe deserve it. And it works, they're still getting favourites months later.

Well, Google AdWords is a lot different than DeviantART. Because my keywords on DA work well too. However, they're free. You have to pay for AdWords, and set up a campaign length, and specify how much you'll spend max, ect.

Paid or not, doesn't affect how keywords work.

No, but it does effect how long you stay in the top of the search. Once your paid amount runs out on AdWords, they aren't effective for you anymore. You only get so many clicks. DAs are forever. Which is why there's probably a trick to choosing the right ones to make the most of things, and getting the timing right.

Okay, lets stop comparing apples to grapes. because this didn't go as well as I had thought, proof of point below. I was just saying AdWords and Deviations both deeply rely on keywords. Once your paid amount runs out on AdWords, they aren't effective for you anymore. You only get so many clicks. DAs are forever. Now, I feel you're getting deviations and ads mixed up. Google AdWords Pay only for resultsYou're charged only if someone clicks your ad, not when your ad is displayed. SourcedeviantART AdCast AdCast clicks are guaranteed. We will run your ad until you have received every click that you've paid for. Source

I thought you were talking about Deviations. AdCast has been down for so long it didn't occur to me.

I was talking about deviations at first but then you mentioned that AdWords Ad's is limited while deviantART keeps them up forever. I didn't recognize the continued comparison of AdWords to a deviation and thought you were now comparing the two ad systems - AdWords & AdCast - as I mentioned below my quote of your post
